Vendor Showdown

Unique to ISC High Performance, the Vendor Showdown Session comprises an afternoon of high-level presentations by industry powerhouses in computing, networking, data and storage in Europe, Asia and North America (Platinum, Gold and Silver sponsors). Each speaker has a few minutes to present their organization's newest strategy, product or research developments. A panel of expert moderators then asks each speaker a few in-depth, follow-up questions. The speakers have only five minutes to offer their responses—on the spot in front of the audience.

Speakers may present a maximum of three (3) slides 

  • One slide about the mission / introduction of the company
  • One slide about their HPC product portfolio 
  • One slide about "Why do their products help to meet the mission? What does that mean for the customers?"

Please submit your speaker information (speaker name, job title, email address) no later than March 29, 2019 via the Exhibitor Portal. For step-by-step instructions, please click here. Please upload the Vendor Showdown presentation (three (3) slides) no later than May 8, 2019 through the Exhibitor Portal. For step-by-step instructions, please click here. The moderators will review the slides and will send the questions to the speakers one week before the event so that speakers have time to prepare.


Speakers who do not submit slides by May 8, 2019 will be disqualified from participation in the Vendor Showdown.


The slides will be integrated in one master PowerPoint. Time will be pre-set so the slides will advance automatically.

The Vendor Showdown audience will be given an opportunity to vote for their favorite speaker and the winner will be announced at the end of the session.  All speakers should plan to stay until the end of their session, so they can accept their award if chosen.

The Vendor Showdown will take place on Monday, June 17 from 1:00pm-3:20pm in rooms Panorama 2 and Panorama 3. The schedule will be published in April. As this is an industry session, it is open to all attendees. 

All speakers must be registered and must have a badge valid for the day of their presentation to gain access to the session room (either an exhibition badge or a conference badge – both grant access to this session).
